Participants are advised to make their own arrangements with respect to entering The Netherlands. Some nationalities will need to organise visas prior to travelling.
If you require a visa to visit the Netherlands, please apply for it within a reasonable period of time (minimum three months ahead of the planned travel).
The Local Organising Committee recommends that ALL participants check the websites of the Dutch embassy in their country prior to travel to ensure that they have all the necessary paperwork for travel.
Neither the Local Organising Committee nor EARIE can be held responsible for and cannot refund any registration fees for participants who fail to obtain their visas prior to travel.
Where can I get information?
Click here for the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kingdom of the Netherlands. Search for the Netherlands' Embassy or Consulate in your country and contact them. You need to apply for Travel Visa C (Tourist Visa).
Travel Visa (Visa C) = If you intend to go to the Netherlands as a tourist, to visit friends or on a business trip for a period not exceeding 90 days and your country does not participate in the Visa Waiver Program, you need a Schengen travel visa (Visa C). This visa is not a work permit.

Visa application support letters
If you need a Visa Application Support Letter, the conference organisers can provide this letter once:
(a) you have registered for the conference and
(b) your registration fee has been received.
Once you meet these two requirements, please e-mail the conference organisers, firstname.lastname@example.org with your full name, and the address of the concerning embassy (consulate) where you are going to apply for visa. Let us also know if you are a presenter as well. Your request will be processed as soon as possible, and the conference invitation letter (scan) for your visa application will be e-mailed to you.
We regret but no mailing services (postal or courier, etc.) for Visa Application Support Letters can be made.
